Sarah Reed

Dr. Sarah Reed is an Associate Professor in the Department of Animal Science at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Reed earned her M.S. in Animal Science and her Ph.D. in Animal Molecular and Cellular Biology under the mentorship of Dr. Sally Johnson at the University of Florida. Dr. Reed then spent two years in Dr. Andrew Judge’s lab in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Florida as a post doctoral researcher. Dr. Reed’s lab focuses on how environmental factors regulate muscle development and postnatal growth. In particular, she is interested in how environmental influences alter satellite cell function.
